Subject: Eliminating in bedding
Message-ID: <2694532.1096998676895.JavaMail.root@thallium.smartgroups.com>

My 7 yo ferret was Dx with insulinoma in June. He was doing ok until a month or so ago and since he's been getting weaker in the hind legs. He has now begun to urinate and defacate in his bed. My vet wanted to do exploratory surgery last month, but Buddy developed a head tilt that had to be cleared up and it has, so tonight I'm taking him in for the vet to decide what we should do next.

If Buddy has surgery and tumors are removed, does he have a chance of regaining his strength? Could it be that he's so weak that eliminating in his bed is just him taking the path of least resistence, or is this a sign of the end?
