I have an 8 yr.old, has insuloma's and adrenal dz. Been on lupron shots the last 3 years. She receives diaoxide and predisone for the low sugar.
Last month the dr felt a mass in her abdomin, seemed to be in the intestinal area. Two weeks ago upon exam it was smaller.
My question..My ferret lives to eat. She has ate chicken gravy just about her whole life. She is grinding her teeth alot, mostly when she eats. For the first time in her life she does not want to eat all her food. I need her to finish all her food because I have her low sugar meds in the soup. Her activity level is great. She does not have the best teeth, but maybe the teeth grinding, chewing thing is from something else.
I am struggling now to get her to finish her food. She then rubs her mouth on the floor and continues the teeth chewing action. Is carafate a good idea? Can I give it to her before she eats and still put her meds in the soup? Is carafate better than Pepto Bismol? Dose?
Thanks for any info... I can't stand to see her hurting.
