Get him in for a post-op check up.
I had one with a left adrenal so big, that the right shrunk and turned off, so he actually got very lethargic on day 2 after surgery and did awesome with a shot of steroids and percorten. He then was monitored for electrolytes ( a blood test) to see how he did the next month, and he did well, his adrenal kicked back in and he didn't need the shots after that.
Also, had one with blood loss after surgery that needed a lot of extra TLC, carafate before meals, sub Q fluids and almost considered a blood transfusion, but he came around without one.
So, first see what the vet thinks, he may be dehydrated a little and just need some fluids. Then consider blood count to see if anemic, and an electrolyte panel to see how that is , which also will check his blood sugar.
Good luck,
patty

Hello and dook dooks to all. My male ferret Kodo(not quite 4) just had
adrenal surgery on October 1st. It was his right adrenal gland. It is now
5 days(October 5th) after the surgery and he has yet to show much
improvement in his energy level, does not try to climb or get down when
held, is still not eating on his own, we are hand feeding him Bob's Chicken
Gravy which he loves, is wobbly and falls a lot, ....
