Definitely get his electrolytes checked, a blood test that measures his sodium/
potasium/chloride/bicarb/bun/cr and glucose. The ratio is nothing more than
dividing the sodium by the potassium and the resulting number helps the vet see if
addison's is a concern.
The B.U.N. can help see if the ferret is dehydrated, the glucose if the ferret is low
can be a cause of problems as well.
The concern is if the ferret is having symptoms of Addison's after the adrenal
surgery because the adrenal gland that is left has atrophied or turned off and needs
a little more time to turn back on- meaning the ferret may need replacement
hormones temporarily as if he had both adrenal glands out.

Sub Q fluids probably will also help.

Keep us updated.

test results to tell me what his sodium/potassium ratio is?
