this is my first time posting and I need some advice. Last May my 5 year old ferret Tobey had surgery to remove an infected adrenal gland. The vet said he had to significantly reduce the blood flow to her left leg. Post-op she did wonderfully: hair regrowth and no complications. In the past few weeks I have noticed some hair loss again. I understand that hair regrowth is sometimes temporary, but the problem is I have noticed her walking kinda funny: with her back sort of arched and she most certainly isn't using her back half the way i think she should be. I recently moved and took Tobey to a vet in my new town. He didn't seem familiar with ferrets and I am going to take her back to the vet who performed the surgery, but I would REALLY like to know what anyone thinks. I don't want to ignore a potential problem. please write back with any advice or e-mail me slm2755@uncw.edu
thanks so much,
shannon & tobey
