My baby Katie is hanging in there but so very weak.=A0 She is two months sh=
y of =
being nine. She is an only ferret and the only one I have had before.=A0 Sh=

the love of my life ! She has insulinoma and is now on .55 cc pred twice pe=
r =
day plus her flourinef.=A0 she has been on pred and flourinef since 2000, w=
hen =
she had adrenal surgery.=A0 she is not a surgical candidate - too frail.=A0=
I give =
her duck soup and she still eats her regular food.=A0 she is very weak and =
lays =
sideways while eating instead of standing straight up.=A0 her vet is wonder=
ful, =
and very experienced in ferrets.=A0 basically, katie just sleeps and cuddle=
s.=A0 =
she does some tooth grinding and we give her carafate.=A0 i hope she is not=

suffering.=A0 she can barely walk across the room and she can't do much, bu=
t she sure =
loves it when mommy holds her.=A0 has anyone had an older ferret who is ver=
y =
weak....and any thoughts or advice?=A0 I take her to the vet regularly and =
he =
checks her blood glucose levels.=A0 her appetite is good now......she shake=
s some =
and is wobbly, and her pred dose has regularly been adjusted upward.
