My 6 year old male ferret has a very watery eye. He keeps it shut most of the time. He's had it open a little more today. I have been treating it with antibiotic ointment. The vet said there was is no sign of damage done to it, no cataracts and it doesn't look like conjuctivitis (sp?). It just seems very very watery. The vet said sometimes older ferrets have tear duct problems and the eyes get dry, but he has the opposite problem. Any suggestions on treatment or what it could be?
He also is on high doses of pred., diaz. & a low dose of lasix for insulinoma. The vets also suspect he may have lymphoma.
