I am not a vet, I have heard of cutaneous lymphoma in ferrets, but it is rare. I think there were cases where it was just isolated to the feet, but in the below article there is one large lesion on what looks like the side. The only way to diagnose is to biopsy the lesion ( if suspected). It does seem to have a slightly better prognosis then lymphosarcoma since it tends to stay in the skin, verses non-cutaneous lymphoma- where the lymph nodes, organs, and such are involved.
(page 4 is where you can find the info on primary cutaneous lymphoma)

Also, just go the the main page of this group on smartgroups and put in cutaneous lymphoma in the search archives, see what you can find. I do recall a while back it was discussed, maybe even a picture in the photo section ? Way back when the list was on Yahoo groups.

ps. Just put cutaneous lymphoma in ferrets in google and there are some good links there too.

Can anyone tell me about Lymphoma? Especially cutaneous lymphoma?
My Ruby has a bruise that turned into a lump.
What lab work will show signs of lymphoma?
CBC, (anemia?)
What are the signs and symptoms?
How is it treated?
thank you,
