Hi again,

i got a chance,to take another look at the smears I made, and have a more complete conversation with my Vet. I confident that my gating is incorrect (on the advia) and that my values match that of the labs (46% lymphs, 53% Neuts, 1% Eosin). However, it still does not explain the very small cells (smaller then RBC's but bigger then platelets) with eosinic staining. I should add that i have already treated the ferret for ECE with flagal and amoxicillian, which did not help. I started him of pred on saturday, and hisstools have started to firm up. He also seems less leathrgic. I am really at this point more curious about the eosinic staining graules. Could they be degraunation and be showing up as Neutrophils? I am i not seeing any eosinophils b/c they are at the site of infection (ie the intestines)? Also, I was wondering if anyone knows the plamsa/ blood osmolarity of a ferret? (his was 430 on friday)

Thanks,

ROB
