Hi,

Lupron is of no use to a ferret which has had both
adrenal glands out. What Tweaky will need is
prednisone (or prednisolone/pediapred) and florinef
(a/k/a fludrocortisone) or percotin to keep his
electrolytes in balance. Loss of appetite and looking
like he's in pain could be early symproms of
surgically induced Addison's Disease. You need to get
him back to the vet and get his electrolytes checked.
This means bloodwork.

If his adrenal products are not being replaced and the
Addisonian symptoms get worse Tweaky will being to
shiver and/or shake as he becomes unable to control
his body temperature. If that happens you need to
keep him warm get him to the vet ASAP before it
becomes a full blown and life threatening Addisonian
Crisis.

Don't wait on this. I've seen one Addisonian Crisis
up close and Pertwee almost died. I don't want Tweaky
to get to that point.

The usual disclaimer applies: I am not a vet but two
of our ferrets had both adrenal glands out.

All the best,
Caity and the fantastic four
