Update:
I started using topical antibiotic ointment on his back feet after washing. Only been a couple days, can't tell if they are improving, but it is not getting any worse. He does have a cut on each foot, where the sores are, not sure if this was prior (and helped cause infection/sores) or a cause of the infection/sores.
His spirits are still great, bouncing off the walls like normal. None of the other ferrets have any similar signs/symptoms. Vet appointment scheduled later this week.
Questions: Is it safe to put the ointment on his feet? Will he make himself sick if/when he licks at it?
