I think that I have read somewhere that a sugar crash is possible after surgery. My Max had adrenal surgery yesterday; they found that his left adrenal was huge, and also found a nodule on his pancreas and removed that. He did fine until about 8 this am (I had last checked on him at 6 and finger fed him baby food and water) when I found him limp. Rushed back to the ver, sugar was 39 after two dextrose subq and orally, temp low but now coming back up. Is this unusual after surgery? He also has extensive bruising at his incision, but belly is soft.
