As with any of the topicals : panalog, demalone, bacitracin, etc. There
are issues with ingestion. Ferrets being helpfully social and bathing each
other do stand a chance of ingestion when these substances are applied
topically.

As has been said -- check with the vet in all situations to prevent
possible coplications..
