Has a culture for a possible bacterial sinus infection been considered? Some of those can be hard to treat and can be exchanged back and forth. We've twice had that happen, back and forth between people and a ferret. In both cases the ferret already had serious on-going medical problems, and in one case the infection was antibiotic resistant so the culture really mattered.
Has a possible growth in a sinus been looked for?
