Terra,

My vet has successfully treated glaucoma using eye drops. One med is used for open angle glaucoma; the other for closed angle.

The meds didn't work independantly for Bach, however when used in combination, they took his pressures from around 85 down to around 25, if I recall correctly.

The meds used were Timolol and Pilocarpine. It is a rigorous dosing schedule... one drop each eye, 5 times a day following the dosing schedules on the bottles... but Bach's glaucoma has been under control now for two years, come Christmas. Bach has to be 8.5 years old, by now, and Janice just keeps treating it as long as he is comfortable and happy. He is blind, but aside from that, eats and eliminates well and is doing great for his age. We haven't noticed any negative side effects with Bach.
