Remember, though that when sebaceous epitheliomas are not removed they become hard on the ferret because of the size they attain and because they can set the stage for squamous cell carcinoma to start and that IS malignant. So, when possible they should come out.

As the write-up on mast cell tumors also at the AFIP site points out, ditto past posts in the archives when possible it also pays to remove mast cells tumors due to comfort factors and infection risk.

Besides, it pays to get it out in case it is not one of these but is instead a more serious possibility.

Suzi should definitely read up on this and discuss what she learns with her vet.
