Hello,
My Ruby has an infection on the underneath of her neck. I have done a lot of research and it doesn't quite fit with anything I have found.
Does anyone know what a salivary gland mucocele is?
I did a search on the list and couldn't find anything.
This started as a bruise, turned into a lump under the skin, then got a scab and when the scab started to come off it was full of pus and deep.
It is still there and open, but not as deep. It now has developed another lump underneath and to the side of it.
I have been in close contact with my vet and he is baffled by it also. We have done wound cultures.
She is on Baytril (which she hates) and silvadene, with warm compresses applied. I also have a gel with aloe and comfrey I am applying to the lump.
I just wish it would go away.
I know I keep posting about it and I am sorry, but if anyone has any information I would greatly appreciate it.
thank you so much
suzi and Ruby
