Sukie gave some good suggestions, but if you still feel your vet needs to consult with a very knowledgeable ferret vet, have him contact Dr. Cottrell(Kemmerer). Dr. Cottrell is probably one of the top ferret vets and she has information on her website about consultations. Go to www.westendanimal.com and look at the menu on the left for the "ferret consultation" link and have your vet follow those instructions.
