I use plain petroleum jelly with my 4 ferrets as it's the main ingredient in commercial hairball remedies anyway. They love it, think it's a treat. I like it because it's a lot less expensive and there are no added sugars. If you want to try it and your ferrets won't eat it, try mixing it with a little ferretone.
