Hi Mary,
I am still feeding Boo every 4 hrs. for his blood sugar issues. Though, he's just about back to his old self again, I still need to keep up with his feedings because he's decided since his surgery that he doesn't need to eat his kibble and drink from the water bottle anymore since I feed him. But, trying to just "wait it out" and see if he'll come around isn't really an option I'm willing to take.
I, too, feel the same as you. When I am gone at work for 9hrs. at a time, I worry that maybe the feeding I gave him in the morning won't be enough to get him through til I get home. But, lucky for me this only has to happen a couple days a week and Boo's feeling so much better now that he's doing good. He's had no episodes (knock on wood). I feed him extra large portion in the morning when I know I won't be home. He's a day snoozer anyway, so that helps knowing he's probably just napping not expensing too much energy while I'm away. Just leave options of food if you can in hopes your baby may try and eat. Wet down some kibble and make a "soup" out of it,place in the cage incase she may feel like eating. Glad to hear she's doing better.
Keep us updated. =) Terra
