I am not a vet. I have had the best luck getting rid of the black spots
on my ferrets tails by applying Revolution in the normal way, to the
back of their neck, about twice as often as nornal, every two weeks.
After about three weeks the black dots seemed to rise up a little and
can be scrubbed right off with a handbrush. I don't know, this is just a
supposition, but I think the black spots are the waste from some kind of
mite that gets into the pores on the tail. Revolution rises back up thru
the pores and skin and gets to them where surface applications don't.
