My guess is that if estrogen induced anemia can occur in an unspayed female, high levels of estrogen produced by adrenal disease could cause similar problems whether it is a male or female ferret.

I have not heard of anemia as being a common problem in adrenal ferrets, but I don't think the sex of the ferret is the deciding factor as to whether or not it will occur.
