Hi all,
Just wanted some input from those of you whose ferrets have been through
surgeries. My ferret, Snagglepuss has just had a right adrenalectomy and a nodule
removed from his pancreas. This is his second surgery in 2 months (In March,
he had his left adrenal out and a partial pancreatectomy--5%). Hx is also
significant for portal hepatitis.
Anyway, we are now a week post surgery. He has been doing wonderfully so
far, but I notice he seems to be itchy. He is biting at, scratching at his
abdomen, sides, and tail inconsistently. His incision scab is healing, so I was
wondering if that is what could be making him feel itchy and if there is
anything I could do for him. Any thoughts / suggestions would be great.
