My mom had it. They think she got it from touching egg shells. The HD said it can even be on the outside of the eggs. The germ has to actually be swallowed to infect, so even though several of us ate there, no one else contracted it. I believe they said it takes only 2 to 3 days for the symptoms to begin.Had you prepared chicken or eggs prior to her getting ill?
