there are no good snacks....make sure you keep him on a high protien diet and
the snacks you can use would be duck soup or gerbers, an N-bone once in a
blue moon will also be ok....just no raisins, no fruit, no nutrical, no laxitone,
nothing on those lines. you will want to keep karo syrup near the cage for
emergancys. if he was to crash you would want to rub some on his gums and then
get him to the vet. Fester has had surgery and had half of his pancreous(sp)
removed but there were very tiny tumors all over it so i knew the symptoms
would come back. There is NO cure for insulinomia, you can only help elevate
pain and help maintain his blood sugars until he crosses over. for hairball
prevention i use just plain old vasiline(as told by my vet) you might need to mix
some feritone into it until he gets used to the flavor.
