Sometimes there is a cure for insulinoma. *IF* it can be caught early enough and *IF* the vet can find all of the very tiny tumors (microscope, touch, and tiny hands are useful) then some don't get it again. We've had a couple of ferrets in that position. It is not the usual result but it does happen at times. Early insulinoma figures published by Dr. Bruce Williams mention something like a 60% recurrance rate within 10 months, but that does leave the other 40%. We had some who never had it again. Luckily, insulinoma is quite rare in our household.
