We've seen very large differences in surgery results among vets. At one point we had a vet surgeon (who later moved to NY and then MA) who was so startlingly better than any other vet surgeon we've ever known that he managed truly amazing things. He's the one who was so able to find insulinomae that we had cured ferrets. Then again, Steve and I are in our 50s and he was the best vet surgeon we have ever encountered over our lifetimes, so...
