Subject: hairloss/weightloss in male
Message-ID: <3623162.1099880114663.JavaMail.root@thallium.smartgroups.com>
My male "Chewy" is 9 months old. Recently, I noticed that he's been losing a lot of hair. There is not set pattern (like around the base of the tail) just an all over shedding. He sheds way more than Sonic, my little girl. He has also slimmed way down recently. Not so much as to look/feel emaciated but he used to have a round tummy and now it's flat. He also doesn't seem to be eating as much. He is just as playful as always and seems to be sleeping a bit less than usual. He doesn't act "sick" and his poop is healthy.
1. Is this something that comes as they transition from kit to adult?
2. Is this something perhaps related to light/melatonin, like could his body think he's going into spring? Shedding and losing winter weight (even though it's gotten much colder here)?
3. Is there any suppliment I should be giving him aside from a hairball remedy to prevent blockages?
