We had a discussion about that a little over a month ago. Check the
archives. What it boiled down to is that most makers of BG meters set
them to real 20 to 30% low, so you must take your reading and multiply
it by 120 or 125. That 67 would come out about 83 which is low normal.
The 27 one is low. To see just how your meter reads, have your vet draw
blood, take a reading with your meter then spin the blood down and send
the serum to the lab for a reading. Compare the two readings and you
will know how far off your meter reads.
