The only comment I can make on this is that my instructor for my veterinary pathology course on lymph system diseases always suggests removal of the whole node in question and send the whole lymph node in instead of just a section because it is more likely to allow the pathologist to get a more definative report because they can look over the whole node and not just a little section from a biopsy. I have no idea if this increase the cost of the procedure or not.
