I'll say one thing, Cookie must be a very heavy sleeper to be able to use a needle and pick at his skin without waking! That hair under the skin thing is unusual. I don't know what to think about that.
Hard to say about the hair loss. It would not be unusual for Cookie to be having a return of adrenal symptoms. The timing is right for it to be adrenal symptoms. A year or thereabouts after the first surgery, the time of the year (fall), etc. I'm unclear if the hair loss you are describing means he's bald in those areas or if there's just more shedding type hair loss?

A big black hair was growing UNDER his skin ... it was where he had his stitches ... it was really very strange ... so I decided to take a look at his other MCT surgery near his tail ... there was 2 black hairs growing UNDER his skin !!!

Cookie was sleeping and didn't realize I did this ... I've put his antibiotic ointment to avoid infection and everything went well.
