Many Thanks Mike for your comments ...

Cookie has lost all his hairs on the rump and on the base of his tail at the same time (Thursday and Friday). All you can see on the patch on his rump, is a regrowth of 1/8 inch maybe ... and there's small areas with no hair at all. The 1/3 of his tail is almost bald, only a few hairs are growing back at the base ...

Now, I think his shedding period is almost finished.
The hair loss seems to be located on his rump and tail.

I know that when ferrets have surgeries it can take time for the hairs to regrow ... that's why I thought first it was a bad shedding ... and why I've been waiting ...

You'll remember that last year he had shed twice in Fall/Winter after his Adrenal gland surgery ... and he was OK.

But now, I really don't know what to think ...
It really looks like Adrenal to me ... :(

Linda and Cookie XXX

P.S. the 3 hairs were not really deep in the skin ... just under the surface ... but it took me time and lot of patience to remove them. :)

A year or thereabouts after the first surgery, the time of the year (fall), etc. I'm unclear if the hair loss you are describing means he's bald in those areas or if there's just more shedding type hair loss?
