He's 6 and has end stage insulinoma. I give him karo to keep his blood suga=
r up and diazoxide still works for him. So I figure sugary snacks won't hur=
t him. He only eats soup and since he has been on the large dose of lasix I=
have been giving him pedialyte in with his food. He was fine through the n=
ight. He pooped and it was brown, but had little pieces of what looked like=
banana chips in it. He had been doing so good until the fluid in his abdom=
en. After the huge dose of lasix he was so much better, then the stomach cr=
amps happened. I was so scared I was shaking most of the night. He was slee=
ping like a baby and I was lying in bed listening for any noise from him. H=
e's on carafate anyway for stomach problems and the lasix has been occasion=
ally giving him stomach cramps so add the snacks on top of that and it must=
have been horrible. If we can get him through the rest of the week with no=
problems next week he'll have a x-ray to see what's going in with the flui=
d buildup. I hope it's his heart because that would be easier to control.
