Question # 1
If we start Cookie tomorrow with a 100 mcg dose (1 month depot)and there's no effect after 1 month ... We'll have to increase the dosage to 200, 300, 400, and than to 500 mcg.
All this will take 5 months to know that Lupron doesn't work ???
Dr Murray says that we can give Lupron before surgery ... and sometimes it can help ... if we have to wait 5 months to know that Lupron doesn't work for Cookie ... his tumor on the right gland will be a lot more bigger and maybe inoperable .........
Dr Weiss says that the most effective dose is 500 mcg, and lower doses don't reverse the symptoms ...
Question # 2
I've read and some people told me that their vet give one shot of Lupron and waits until the symptoms come back to give a new one ...
I know that Lupron dosages can last longer ... but what do you think of this approach ?
