One of the benefits of Lupron is that by stopping the hormonal stimulation of the adrenal glands, we MAY be preventing any further enlargement. The amount of time that passes between when the Lupron injection has "worn off" and the visible symptoms can be seen could be several months or more. During this time, hormone levels are once again climbing and the glands are being overstimulated. Sure, the visible signs may take a while to show up but what's going on inside in the meantime? Is the gland becoming bigger during the month(s) prodeeding the return of visible symptoms?
