Hi =

How old is your ferret? I had a ferret with ovarian tumours which caused
hair loss. You say the ferret was (I guess recently) rescued, maybe she
wasn't fed right and has a bad coat because of that and because of being
underweight? Not sure about Chinese herbal stuff for ferrets but I don't
know much about it. =

All the best to you and your little girl.

My ferret is losing her hair and before going for 'invasive' action and on

improvement in the condition of her coat and the re-growth that is occurrin=

I have recently been told of the Chinese Herbal remedy 'Shou Wu' which is
apparently a remedy for hair loss.
I would like some advice as to whether this would be safe to give to a
ferret and if so at what dose?
I have spoken to my local Chinese Herbalist but as he isn't very good at
English I had difficulty understanding what he was saying. After about 2
hours I gave up and pretended I understood him.
My ferret will be speyed as soon as she gets to an acceptable weight. She i=
s still putting weight on since her rescue.
