Cookie got his first shot last Friday : 100 mcg (1 month depot)
Her protocol for Lupron is :
100 mcg for 1 month
100 mcg for 1 month
100 mcg for 1 month
after ... we can increase the dosage if there's no effect.
I told her that we can increase the dosage the second month if 100 mcg doesn't work ... she said she follows this protocol.
Cookie is a small ferret, his weight: 955 g. (a little more than 2 pounds)so she thinks the 100 mcg dosage is enough. She doesn't think starting him with a higher dosage like 500 mcg is a good idea, it can cause problems like muscle wasting. She said it won't be better if my ferret can't walk !
We'll wait and see what will happen with 100 mcg ...
I would really appreciate if you tell me if you know this protocol and what you think ...
