Hi Chris,
No she isn't in season now. She had been in season for a long time though before rescue. She had a Jab at the welfare. I also have a vasectomised hob so it wouldn't be a problem. I have been giving her Kelp and Evening Primrose oil as other long time ferret owners have used it and had good results.
She has grown quite a bit of her fur back and is gaining weight so, even though I have the Hobble/Hoblet, I will be having her speyed very soon. I just hope she doesn't lose her hair again.
She is a very 'stressy' fert so maybe that has a bit to do with her problem. She has settled now with my other 15 ferrets and seems a lot less stressed. Her hair loss is mainly across her rump and up both sides of her body. It is growing back and looks like a very heavy 'stubble' at the moment.
