Descenting isn't always done right. Our Ryo-Ohki was
a Marshall Farms ferret and was supposed to be
descented too. At least part of an anal gland was
left in. She had an abscessed anal gland when she was
about nine months old. Our vet did [very minor]
surgery and it never did recur.
