There is no form of Lupron that lasts for a year. 4-month Lupron is the longest lasting available but at the $50 price mentioned, I'm sure that was not even the 4-month, which is considerably more expensive.

Is it possible to get a Lupron injection and not need one for another year? Sure. It's also possible that a ferret will have a spontaneous remission of symptoms with no treatment whatsoever during early stages of the disease and not have a return of symptoms for quite some time. So was it the Lupron that lasted a year or just luck. I would be inclined to believe the latter.
