I have had 2 descented ferrets get anal gland abscess. Initially draining was fine,
but one recurred and needed removal. Sometimes a piece of anal gland tissue is left
behind during their descent.
So, it is recurs, surgery may be needed.
I am glad Ellie is fine and should continue to do well.
