Eggs are OK in small numbers; I've fed raw eggs for years. I will not
feed more than one large egg each a week. When I wash feeding 3 eggs a
week the ferret's coats got in a poor condition. I was told the eggs
were inhibiting the production of biotin. Raw eggs make up part of the
natural diet of the polecat; they gorge on them but only in the early
summer when they have access to the eggs of ground nesting birds. Chris
