I have an 8-1/2+ yr. old blind bilateral female with 10% of her right adrenal
remaining. As far as I know, she eats/drinks nothing in her cage, altho she
has both kibble and water available. She is fed chicken gravy AM, noon and
PM, in addition to getting a lot of outside her cage play time. She will eat
her gravy, get a drink, scour the floor for food crumbs, then get into a blanket
to sleep. After sleeping in the blanket for awhile I put her back into her
cage. I might mention she's also a loaner, hating other ferrets and animals.

The past week she paces her cage constantly, at which time I let her out, she
follows her routine, I put her back in her hammock, she sleeps for a few
mins., then gets up and starts the constant pacing until she's let out, and the
routine starts all over again.

Tonight my brother attempted to put her back in her hammock, at which time
she bit him and she never bites. I attempted to put her back into her hammock
and she bit me.

Does any one have any suggestions or advice as to what might be going on with
her? She finally wore herself out with her pacing after her biting episode,
got into her hammock and finally went to sleep. It's almost like she's on
speed. Is there anything I can do for this little lady to relax her and reduce
her constant pacing? She will be going to the vet on Fri. but I'd sure like to
be able to relax her between now and then. She also got her latest melatonin
implant Nov. 5th., which was about her 4th implant.

Thanks for any suggestions or help.
