Subject: mesenterial roundcell-tumor: Essiac, pycnogenol, chemo?

One of our ferrets was diagnosed 3 weeks ago with an abdominal mass (more or less by coincidence during an abdominal ultrasound performed for another reason). 2 weeks ago surgery was performed, but unfortunately, the mass couldn't be removed. It's located in the mesentery and there is a large blood vessel going through. Removing it would give a high risk of shock (large amount of blood inside the mass) and the vascularisation of the intestine would've been disrupted too much...
A small piece of it was sent in for histopathology, part of the result came back today: it's a round-cell tumor with a fairly large amount of neutrophils and atypical cells (malignant, aggressive =( ). Several tests were done later today, in order to find the exact cell-origin. We will get the results of this tomorrow.
We will discuss several options (chemo?) with the vet, when we know exactly what type of tumor it is. But I also wanted to know a few things in advance:
-Does anyone have any suggestions?
-What are the possibilities, considering chemotherapy in ferrets with this kind of tumor?
-Would essiac interfere with chemotherapy?
-Would it interferere with pycnogenol (he is already (temporarily?) on pycnogenol since 4 days after the operation)?
-What are contra-indications for the use of essiac? Adverse/side-effects? Thinks to keep in mind?
