Yes, the heart was xrayed and honestly I can't remember much of what the vet said other than skipping one out of every ten beats and having a murmur. He told me yesterday that I was in a situation where she needs prednisone but yet shouldn't have it because of the chance of fluid accumulation. I plan on taking her up next week for bloodwork. She is eating a recipe of AD, Totally Ferret which has been soaked in Pedialyte, along with chicken and banana baby food. She is eating this mixture really well and is feeling good enough to throw little tantrums wanting out. The diarhea hadn't been a problem until I started giving her honey and I honestly think I probably gave her too much of it. Also was giving her 5 cc's of pedialyte after eating the recipe. The vet figures Shelby to be approx. 7 yrs. old and quite honestly she has never ever been sick in the three yrs. that we've had her other than a couple of times when she vomited. We had always felt that Shelby was a lot younger than that
so finding out all this about her came as a shock to us.

Insulinoma itself can cause diarrhea if it isn't controlled enough, and we have seen it sometimes along with a consistent wasting until the meds were gotten right with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. I can't recall if we saw it with A/V Node Block when that needed meds adjustments or if we would have even been able to separate that out from the insulinoma which caused it. Not everything which causes diarrhea is GI so don't forget to also consider the non-GI causes that might relate to her known diseases, but give her time for any GI tract irritation to go down first. I have heard that you don't have ultrasound available there. Has the heart been x-rayed? It's not as good but it at least gives some information to allow better shaping of the treatment protocol for the heart disease. I sent you info on one vet cardiology consultant company which helped us greatly (and can be found in one of the Files on heart problems in
