If your vet doesn't treat other ferrets with Lupron, the 1-month can be expensive since a lot will go to waste. I don't know of anyone that sells a single, ferret sized dose of 1-month Lupron, though there may be someone.

Your vet can purchase a single, 1 mg, ferret sized dose of 4-month Lupron from Professional Arts Pharmacy (1-800-832-9285) for just over $100. With shipping charges and office visit to inject it, my vet charges $135.

Keep in mind that this version lasts four months, so it works out to be relatively inexpensive.

When I discussed it with my vet, she indicated that a single dose would cost me $200 and if I wanted to buy the whole bottle it would be $2000! I was told by other "ferret people" that this is extremely high and that I should check around.
