It's funny, but I've had the opposite experience. I think it depends
a lot on the individual ferret. I've had trouble administering
liquid, but it was dispensed by the vet and was likely NOT Pediapred.
That might make a huge difference.

That said, I've found I can hide liquid pred in a small amount of
chicken gravy for my kids and they take it without a problem, when
they will not take it directly out of syringe. Baby food or any wet
food your ferret will accept would work as well.

I've had a lot of success with pills for distateful meds - even the
dreaded Flagyl/metronidazole. I just cut each dose into tiny chunks -
but not to the point of powdering it - and hide the chunks in a dab of
Nutrical or similar. The pill pieces go down without a fuss like
this. (Laxatives like Laxatone will not work for this. They're
likely to coat the meds and prevent them from getting digested.)
