I am searching again to find out where I read this, but
without much luck. I was doing so much research and talking
to my vet so much that I may be mixing up what she told me
with what I read.

This article doesn't exactly address that issue, but it does
provide a good overview of lymphoma and its treatment, and
discusses the various stages of lymphoma and options for
treatment.
