Hello Everyone - Happy Holidays!

=

I have two questions I was hoping the group could help me with. =

=

1. Is there a genetics test for ferrets to find out,
for instance, if one ferret is related to another? And if so, what
company does it?

=

2. The ferret rescue that I usually volunteer at is
closing shop, so she directed me to another shelter that's desperate for
volunteers. I spoke with the woman that runs this other shelter and
she told me that she REALLY needs the help, but also said that she had
ECE go through the shelter last August. Is this something I can combat
by changing my clothes and showering before I touch my own ferrets, or
is there good chance my ferrets will get ECE no matter how careful I am?
She also told me it takes about six months before it's totally gone from
the shelter. Is that true?

Thank you very much,

=
