I just got back from the vet. He said the leg is looking worst. There is a very
appearent line where the string was wrapped that is pale and he has color above
and below the line. He is sloughing of tissue and has lost two toenails so far. He
stopped the DMSO and added a topical antibiotic/burn ointment. He states keep it
clean and keep his bedding super clean. He is still trying to walk on it even if he is
dragging it behind. I believe that is how he pulled out the toenails. The vet stated
he may loose a toe or even two toes. I take him back to the vet on Thursday for
another wound check...he will decide if he needs agressive debridement or
amputation of some of his toes. He will also reaccess him for leg amputation. He
said we are not out the woods yet and have a long way to go. He is eating
constantly!!! Every waking moment he is at the food bowl and drinking water. I
guess this is a good sign. He also started him on meletonin 1mg per day for
adrenal disease. The vet is also continuing the Augmentin drops.

I asked about some sort of bandage or coverage for when he is awake and wants to
play. The vet said too riskly with is injury. so I try to keep him on white soft bath
towels.

Any other suggestions?
